Plans do, what plans do best, they get thrown over and we decided to return to Europe, thankfully before I had homed all the puppies in the US. From the beginning it was clear that I had to take Harlow with me. I usually put my puppies on the table at around about 3.5 weeks, just to be able to evaluate how they respond to it. Harlow did not disappoint. As soon as I had put him down he stood. Every single time. He also quuickly understood that he would be fed some cheese on the table so each time I came into the puppy run, he ran between me and the table to let me know that he would not mind to be put on the table again, so he could have some more cheese.
When I took him and his sister Beba to Europe with me, I had hoped that we would be able to find a suitable house quickly but when that did not materialise and Ailleen had asked me for a Q-Litter boy, that was just born in California, I decided to offer Harlow to her instead.
Aileen had been in the Dalmatian scene for many years and showed her Olbero boy and Sassafras Dalmatians to much success. She also has the same idea of keeping her dogs as I do. I am glad that I took the decision as the two of them make a fantastic team both in and out of the show ring. We are all quite exited about the future with Harlow.

Here is what Mark Dunnachie (Dvojica Dalmatians) had to say about Harlow:
1st Locke-McFadzean - Caprillis Panache Over Sassafras (imp) - Panache is the right name for this one, very smart boy, he just gets your attention and holds it. Wonderful black spotting, his coat and overall condition was first rate, excellent muscle tone , happy and outgoing, and enjoying being in the ring. His angulation front and rear were very good, level topline held on the move, good head and neck , nice to see a forechest, good round bone and very good feet.Although he is one who carries his tail up on the move , I’m sure it will settle in time, it looked fine standing. He moved out with style and flair and why I kept him to the final 4 in the challenge, eventually my co judge and I agreed he just had to be BPIS.
Crufts critique by Chris Pickup (Roadcoach Dalmatians):
Eye catching youngster with lovely black spotting on the whitest of coats. Overall very balanced with good front and rear angulation, moving with reach and drive. Good spring of rib and depth of chest. Correct feet and good bone; level topline on the move and one to watch in the future!

1st: 2427 Caprilli's Panache Over Sassafras (Imp) Locke-McFadzean Mrs A – RCC. I did like this lovely black spotted young boy, looked fabulous in the stand and did not disappoint on the move, excellent masculine shape to head, intelligent expression in dark eyes, beautifully spotted ears, elegant neck well set on, well laid shoulder balanced with matching rear angulation, low hocks, good spring of rib, brisket in line with elbows, nice tuckup, flat topline, strong coupling, strong round bone to tight feet, pleasing decoration throughout. A young boy made like this should move well and he was beautiful to watch, smooth and effortless, gave me goose bumps to see him flow. Still young, I think he has a very bright future. Definitely one to watch.

1st DCC & BOB Locke-McFadden Caprillis Panache Over Sassafras ( Imp USA) Stallion male living up to his name, as he is full of panache. Took my eye on entering the ring with his quality and style. He stood alone in his junior class but just filled the ring with his look at me ring presence. On his first run around the ring he gave me goosebumps, his effortless stride, then standing and demanding attention, a joy go over, balanced all through, a quality elegant head, beautifully decorated, good width to back skull, moderate stop to a strong muzzle, tight lips dark black nose and correct scissor bite and dentition. Ears beautifully spotted framing his masculine face. Long well arched neck flowing into a super front assembly with great return to upper arm. Well boned straight front legs sat on super tight cat feet with well manicured nails. Elbows close to deep chest, well ribbed back to muscular loin. Level top-line retained on the move. His rear was well rounded and angulated with correct definition of second thigh giving the width required. Well let down hocks. Tail set well and carried sabre like. He lights the room up with his effortless easy, free flowing stride, eating up the ground beneath. Pleased to award this young male his first CC with his title soon to follow. An asset to our breed. He was expertly kept under control today by his clever and sympathetic handler.
